I've had some software problems lately with my Macbook Pro. It's out of warranty.

I've got a split hard disk, Leopard and Ubuntu, I use reFit. I had to re-install Leopard because the computer would get stuck when turning on, the little circle spinning... (issues with some software for electronic DNI).

When I had it reinstalled I installed reFit and the antivirus, and the antivirus asked me to restart. The screen never turned on again. Not even the apple in the back.

I hear the chimes, and then nothing.

I know the screen is most probably not receiving signal because I connected the laptop to an external screen and nothing appeared there.

I've tried starting it from a CD, but that does the same, I have the noise of CD read, but the screen remains black.

I've as well reset the PRAM and NVRAM following this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379?viewlocale=en_US. Nothing... (the reset went well, I heard the chimes twice, but the screen still does nothing)

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance...
