This is weird: When I am on a call I have noticed that when the phone is aginst my ear, the screen is on and active ... then, while still in the call, if I pull the phone away from my ear to view the screen, the screen goes off?!?!

I think it has something to do with it being in a case (one of those leather wallet style cases).

Is there a sensor somewhere that works out whether the phone is against an ear or not? If so, where is it and does anyone know why it is getting confused?!?

Thanks
