Screen problem after upgrading from Lion to Mavericks

Hi I got this frequently after upgrading from Lion to Mavericks.

Especially after quitting big apps like Aperture.

Seems so.

Btw, it's not constantly like this. Normally all good after a restart, and if it does get into trouble, sometimes it can recover sometimes it cannot until another restart.

Is it just me or this is a known issue?

How would you call this problem? screen mess? I'm yet to find the right google search term.
