Alrighty for some odd reason, every time I move the screen on my mac book the brightness turns off and it looks like a blank screen, its not because I can tell the monitor is still on, the backlight is just off.

The next thing I found out is that inorder to turn it back on i have to turn the brightness off using the f1 key and then turn it back on using the f2 key, but when I do that it just flicks on for a second and then goes back to being dark.

After further messing around with it I found out if I put the screen in the exactly right place then it can turn back on and stay on as long as the screen doesn't change positions.

I have a macbook installed with 10.6.5. Also I have a 2ghz intel core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB 667 MHz DDR@ SDRAM

You likely need a new inverter board & cable that runs between the inverter board to the motherboard.

In some cases, you may just need a new LCD.

Oh well ****... since I leave for BCT in 20 days that wouldn't make much sense to replace it.
