Screen protection alternatives...

I remember back in the 90's with the Palm Pilot, I used Turtle Wax as a screen protector. It worked great with no ensuing scratches or fingerprints. Has anyone ever tried this with an ipod/iphone?

Ahhh....the 90's, and Palm Pilots. I remember being so jealous of my friend's Palm V, lol. Turtle Wax huh ? That does seem kinda risky, don't know if I want to subject "my precious" to turtle wax.

I would be afraid it would put scratches in the plastic or glass. Its not painted like cars are.
