Someone might be getting me an iPhone for free (only reason i'd own one) in the near future and was wondering if its necessary to get a screen protector for it.

Im used to buying screen protectors for my phones BUT it seems the iPhone's screen is a very durable and scratch resistant glass protecting a thin touch layer and an LCD.

Was wondering if there is any point to getting one?. I always keep my keys/change separate from my phone in other pockets.

Just get a screen protector.

The peace of mind alone is worth the $15 for something like the power support crystal film set.

You can always leave the original apple protector in there, i did that with some of my ipods, not with the iphone though, its glass i dont think it needs it.
