Screen protector notch area

Is the cutout size different or can I use an iPhone 12 Pro screen protector on the new 13 Pro?

Notch is different size this year. It’s 20% smaller so it’s less wide and it goes down just a smidge more.

I know it’s different but what would happen if I put a 12 pro screen protector on the 13 pro? Some part of the notch screen area would be left unprotected?
