What's the best combination of protection and aesthetics for a black iPhone 5? Would it be best to use a screen protector, a case, or both? Are the Zagg screen protectors for the iP5 any good? What about an Otterbox defender?

I would try to keep it as sleek and slim as possible. I'd say, stay away from Otterbox and Griffin cuz tho they're good for protection, they get a nay for showing off the iPhone's aesthetics. If you're really careful with your phone, I'd say go for the minimum and just get screen protectors for the front and back for scratches. Maybe you can get those full body shields.

My only gripe with screen protectors is that they seem to always get installed near-perfectly, dust collects under the exposed film, and then the whole thing peels.

I always had my Zagg shields installed by Best Buy employees because I can't do them myself.
