Just received my Xs Max today. I purchased Applecare+, which includes screen repairs at $29. I have always had some type of glass screen protector on my phone, but have considered going with the Apple leather case only. Is this a poor decision? How breakable are these screens? I have never broken a phone screen or the cracked a glass screen protector, so I can't speak from experience. While I feel covered with the Applecare+ should something happen, I don't want to make a stupid decision and have a cracked screen in a week.

I’ve never had a screen protector on my phone. I just don’t see the point when you have AppleCare. They’ll replace your screen even for minor stuff like scratches for $29 bucks which is cheaper than many screen protectors.

Time is valuable for me, even with the protection I am not taking any chances. I don’t wanna waste an hour of my time to get a screen fixed unless I can prevent it. But again your phone, your money, your time.
