Has anyone ever removed a screen protector (wet applied kind) and had gluey residue left behind?

In all my years and dealing with the same company I have never, until I tore the protector off the back of my IP6. I wonder if the material (metal/aluminum) on the back makes this happen easier?

I don't think it's a standard thing... I would say that the residue might have been caused by over heating the device in a high humidity area.

Its definitely the metal back causing the residue to get left behind. Has happened on every iPad I've owned and on the iPhone since the 5.
