Hey all,

I’ve tried a couple screen protectors on my 16 Pro Max and have had pretty poor results so far.
The Spigen screen protectors are too thick and make it extremely difficult to type — a lot of missed inputs, etc

I also tried the Rokform screen protector. Installation did not go smoothly — so many air bubbles. Not well designed.

I’m starting to get frustrated, because every screen protector I’ve looked at has poor reviews.

Any recs? Thanks

Did you update to iOS 18.0.1? There is known touch issues with the new iPhones. That said, I have had no issues with my Spigen GlasTr EZ FIT since updating my phone.

I had issues with the ESR protector, since using the Belkin I have had 0 touch screen issues, so I deffo recommend the Belkin UltraGlass.

Just updated. Hopefully that’ll help as well

I wanna try the Belkin ones, but they have pretty poor reviews online

My belkin screens are fantastic. I have three in the house - one for each of the pro maxes here. Love them! Won’t use anything else now. Fit is perfect and had them done at apple

Glass screen protectors vary in thickness quite a bit. The thinner models tend to be more fragile but will, at least theoretically, provide better touch sensitivity.

  • Belkin UltraGlass 2 - .29 mm
  • ESR Armorite - .30 mm
  • FloLab - .33 mm
  • Spigen Glas.tR - .51 mm
  • Torras GlassGo - .71 mm

Just installed an ESR Armorite on my 16 pro and it’s working fine. Not totally edge to edge. There’s a small gap. But it’s well aligned and no rainbowing.

just read in another thread about someone’s Belkin UG2 breaking for no reason within a week of use — just in their pocket. It has 3.2 stars on Amazon, with similar issues being reported

I ordered the ESR Armorite protectors today — 4.3 stars on Amazon which isn’t great or terrible. Same specs as Belkin, but half the price with better reviews. I’ll give them a shot tomorrow and report back

Every Belkin UG ever released has not great reviews but I've always used them and never had any issues. If anything happens, you are covered by Belkin's warranty and would just have to wait on a replacement.

Been using the ESR for a couple days now. It’s been a pretty good experience so far. There is a tiny gap — it’s not perfectly edge to edge, but pretty close. The touch sensitivity is much better than the Spigen — still noticing some minor touch issues, but still a big improvement. Also very easy to install.

Can’t yet speak to the durability or longevity. I’ll report back in a few weeks.

That’s what I’m also using. Same experience. It’s pretty nice overall. Didn’t get any rainbowing like some people reported.

Install was straightforward and aligned well. It doesn’t go edge to edge like my Torras did on my 15 Pro last year but I think I prefer it because the black edge on that one cut into the screen.
