Hi all.

13 Mini user here. So I've an issue with screen protectors from various companies, Belkin, Otterbox, etc all developing a growing air bubble some weeks/ months after a clean application. No issues immediately after fitting but the bubble always appears in the same location (top left of screen). Then it takes no time to grow in size, growing toward the right top of the screen.

Any clue what's happening? You can see I'm currently using an Otterbox case which sits proud of the screen, so this rules out the protector catching on jeans pockets and there's no peeling from the edges either. In any case the bubble appears under the film and always a few mm in the top left. I've attached a pic after 3 weeks use. No hint of bubbles during or afterwards...up until now..once again.

Cheers

You can 'hide' that bubble by putting a drop of cooking oil on that corner and working it under with tissue or cotton bud.
haven't heard of this before, thank you. It's just so odd that this is the 3rd screen protector this has happened to, in exactly the same location and with different brands. Could there perhaps be a "hot spot" in that corner? I can accept user error if there was anything showing immediately after fitment but this has become a bit bizarre.

You know what's nuts? I had that same bubble for about 6 months. This was from a screen protector that the apple store did for me. It went away on its own.
