Screen Recorder?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a bit of Free Screen Recorder software. My folks have recently bought an iMac and they aren't that great with it so I was thinking about making a few 'how to' videos for them but can't find a decent enough bit of software.

I know windows has software called 'Steps Recorder', is there a Mac alternative?

Any ideas would be much appreciated

It's on the Mac already - quicktime ->file -> new screen recording. You can do screen recording with or without audio.
