Try out Copernicus...I've seen it recommended here a couple times, but I haven't really used it.

I think you're gonna have to suck it up and pay $69 for a Snapz Pro X 2.0.3 or something similar. I have and it's worth it. I would also check out a Podcast called, "Quicktips for Designers" by Adam Hay. He covers how to create a screencast in episodes 55-57. Within it he mentions software to accomplish video screen capture. Hope this helps!
