Is there a quality, efficient screen capture software that records the desktop of OS X - whether it's the desktop itself or a game running? Would like to record gameplay, without TOO much of an impact on performance. I know you can record with QuickTime, but that's not viable considering it doesn't record audio from the OS itself, only via an external mic - no go.

ScreenFlow works well for recording your Mac. Camtasia is very popular as well, but i have never used it. Both can be found on the MAS.

Just found out that OBS has a Mac version -

Too cool, know anything about this? I know many gamers use this on Windows - I wonder how well it would work vs. ScreenFlow etc.

I don't know anything about the software you linked to.

If you download it, make sure to read over the EULA carefully and scan the download before installing. Want to make sure it doesn't come with any crapware.

It may just be a false positive reported. Doesn't hurt to research a little before installing.
