This is kind of an odd question, so I'm not sure where to put it in the forum:

Why is it that my display looks better when playing games at 50Hz instead of 60Hz? I feel like OS X looks a little sluggish at 50, but at 60 any games I play (StarCraft II, Diablo III, Civ V) look blurry and odd at 60.

I have a Radeon HD 6870 hooked up for a 24" ViewSonic LED via HDMI (picture when using VGA is horrible).
