So I've read the horror stories about repairing the screen on the 13-inch late model (2010) Air. But I did it anyway.

Thankfully, it went well. Right now, it's sitting on my table, fully functional, ready to be taped back together.

However, I've noticed that right where the crack in the screen was, there's now a bright patch. The plastic diffuser sheet has a crack.

I'm annoyingly OCD about these things. I tried to gently wiggle it loose, but unlike the other diffuser sheets, it seems to be secured by a metal bar near the base of the display (close to the backlight...) Does anyone know if/how I can safely replace that sheet, short of buying a new display? Ignore the fact that finding the sheet is nearly impossible. If it can be replaced, I'll figure out a way to get one.

Once I close this thing up, there's no way I'm opening it back up again. If any one has any experience with this, I would love your input. :). I'm aware that I'm being a little ridiculous. I should just be happy the thing didn't fling glass shards in my eye. But I'm greedy.
