My watch 5 cellular strap broke and the watch dropped and cracked in the corner

apple want over 330 quid to fix it. Any other options? I use it for swimming so it must remain waterproof

thx

No other options if you want it done right. Check pricing on cellular 5 where you live. You might can find a good deal on a new one. Worth a shot.
Figured as much. Literally only came back from Apple repair centre the day before
its basically now just disposable tat. I’ll wait for the 6 and throw this away

Did the watch strap break due to a ‘defect‘ or did it break because it was because of your own doing? The reason I ask, Is if the watch strap caused the damage to the watch because it was defective, and if you can prove that, Apple might replace the watch for you. That same scenario happened to another member and Apple replaced the watch because the watch band was proven defective.

It was a sports loop and I had washed it in the machine. I think it buggered up the glue so it’s my fault entirely.
