My 21.5 imac bought in Dec 2010 had a thin red line show up and 3/4 of screen was darker than other.Apple replaced the screen and when i picked it up the apple genius person said it was replaced by a new screen and backlight coming from a new manufacturer different from my original.Screen seems cleaner with no yellow areas.
