Screen replacement counts towards accidental?

so I know with Applecare plus on iPhone, you get two replacements for accidental damages, and also you can replace your screen for just $29.
My question is, if my screen is shattered and I only replace the screen (i.e., $29 option), does it count as one of my two accidental replacements?

I was thinking, if it doesn't count towards accidentals, it's almost the best 'screen protector' ever

I wasn't asking "if a shattered screen counts to an *accident*", but rather
"If replacing a shattered screen counts toward 2 *accidental replacement*".
