Do it yourself it's easy and their are interactive tutorials on youtube.

I just did this myself a few weeks ago. I bought the lcd screen off of Amazon for $84.99 and an apple tool kit for $2.99. Took me around 3 hours after researching on various forums and watching a few youtube video's on how to change the screen out.

It's really not that hard, and I simply wasn't paying $750 to get something fixed I could do for less than $90.

I'm not engineer or maintenance man in any way. I'm a registered nurse, if I can do it anyone can.

Is it the a1181 model with the battery on the bottom or the a1342 model with a white plate on the bottom? I'd be happy to give you easy DIY instructions via this thread to save you some money. iFixit & many other youtube guides that have you taking the entire machine apart are throwing you for a loop. It never takes more than ten to fifteen minutes.

Also, hey, registered nurses do good work! Don't put yourself down. :)
