Alright all, rack your brains on this joint:
Just upgraded to 10.6 10A380 from 10.5.7. Everything is gravy except for my screen resolution. Currently running an early '09 mac pro 2 x 2.26 with the ATI Radeon 4870 and a Hanns G. 28" LCD monitor connected via HDMI to DVI to the card. This monitor USED to run 1920 x 1200 which was great. Now after installing SL the highest it will go is 1920 x 1080 (or "1080p" in the ******** new menu.) There isn't even an option to run 1920 x 1200 in my monitor menu. Anyone know WTF might be happening here? Already reset the PRAM and re-installed SL once. About ready to erase and install this b&*ch back to whence it came and wait out the long road till the September. Enclosed are screenshots for your and my frustration.
P.S. Whoever solves this will be owed once large ice cream cone, chocolate, with sprinkles. Holler at your boy.
