Have an iMac 5k and MacBook Pro. Both working flawlessly, but one issue I noticed a few months ago when I upgraded to Yosemite on both units. Screen Sharing which always worked quick and seamlessly no longer worked in Yosemite and still not working in El Capitan.

Screen Sharing is turned on for the MBP and is listed as Administrator for who ca access that computer. Screen Sharing is turned off on the iMac 5k (as it always has been). I open the finder window, scroll down and see my MBP listed, select Share Screen and new small box opens showing that it's connecting to the MBP. And that's all she wrote. The progress is totally full but never opens the new window with the MBP screen displayed.

Only two items I could find online to check were checking in the Activity Monitor for a specific file which is not there (don't recall the name off the tope of my head). And the other was to check Settings, Security/Privacy, Firewall, Firewall Options and another file if listed as blocked, which it's not in there.

Left scratching my head. Any thoughts or ideas.
