Is there a way I can see my remote computers screen but is locked locally so no passerby's are able to observe? I am using the built in screen share function via

vnc://'computer'

If the remote computer is running Windows, you can use TeamViewer, which allows you to disable remote input and black the screen of the remote computer. Unfortunately, this feature doesn't work if the remote computer is a Mac.

The both computers are macs. I am following this guide
http://www.farawaymac.com/mac-server/screen-sharing-remote-access-with-leopard/ which gave this advice to screen share
In Safari, you can type “vnc://ip_address” in the URL bar, replacing “ip_address” with the actual address of the remote Mac.

I would prefer a free solution if anyone knows of one. I just happen to share my office and would rather my screen remain locked while accessing my machine from home

Thanks for the input so far:)

I haven't heard of anything that does this for Mac screen sharing, although it would be quite helpful to have.
