Screen Sharing Flickering

I updated my 2014 Mini to El Capitan to test the OS prior to updating my Macbook Pro from Yosemite. Ever since I updated the Mini, whenever I connect to the Mini from my Macbook Pro using Apple's Screen Sharing application, the screen flickers every 2-3 seconds. This is over my local home LAN and didn't do this prior to the El Capitan update. The Mini is still usable but the flickering is annoying.

Anyone else having the same issues? Suggestions?
