Hello, yesterday when I was trying to troubleshoot an issue with a friend of mine, we decided to setup a screen share over a WAN. I opened up the required firewall ports, added him as a screen sharing user, etc.
He was running Lion, I had 10.8.0. He could get in and do what needed to be done, but only for between 90 seconds and 5 minutes. Then my machine would freeze. The cursor was still moving under local control, but it wouldn't accept keyboard input or button presses. He couldn't release control either--the remote session froze as well. I had to hard reboot my machine, and then start the process over. It happened every time, the longest session lasting about 5 minutes.
Any ideas? I tried to replicate with another machine on my LAN, but it wouldn't freeze. We both have very fast pipes to the 'net, so I don't think it was a bandwidth issue.
Thanks,
Dan
