Hi all - I have my main computer in a room that is now inaccessible after 7pm due to our child sleeping in that room. There are times that I'd still like to work from that computer after 7pm and am looking for options.

I have a second computer with the same monitor (and size) as the main one in a different room. I know that I can use the Screen Sharing app to access the main computer and that works ok (it's a little laggy, but not too bad).

Are there other, better ways to accomplish this?

* native osx screen sharing (which is vnc, but slightly modified to work better with scaling)
* Jump desktop (h264 streaming, should be lower latency since it's a better protocol)
* Google remote desktop (similar, h264 streaming)
* NoMachine (again h264, but older. Clunky installation on osx, but it does work)
