Good afternoon,

What would be the easiest/secure remote control tool if I want to control my imac from my mbp when I'm on the same network.

Activate the "screen sharing" option? Since all other solutions will be connecting to outside and then back home...

Thanks for your input!

Screen sharing is already available and is basically vnc.
You can install dedicated vnc server - or nomachine - and use those, which will give you more controls, capabilities, and flexibility. These servers traffic may - or may not - get out to the world, depends on how you are separated (firewalled). But vnc or nomachine will not go outside and then back home when connected, they will go directly between the machines.

Hi, thanks for the reply. It is simply within my own home network. I suppose I will simply use the basic screen sharing within macOS! :)

Thanks
