Esp for some of the games. I'm not a serious gamer but games like Angry Birds look very good on my HDTV. The iPad interface screens and icon pages look extremely good..
Photos are very good, video not as good as HDTV, but what do you expect, widescreen movies fill the screen and are very watchable. iBooks looks gorgeous, text is nice, I have some old color illustrated picture books, wow.
Internet is very sharp and clear.
Screen sharing adds a whole dimension to access what is on your iPad, esp for groups.
Hooked up flawlessly and just worked.
Definitely a big step in the right direction for making iPad more accessible.

I agree. This will be great in the classroom to use all the apps! I'm thinking of the elements right now during our chemistry of life unit.

At home, I'm currently draining the battery of my wife's iPad 2 by streaming video from our Slingbox using SlingPlayer.

The one problem is the size of the dock connector, it's not as 'tight' or small as the normal charge connector so it may be an issue with cases. That's all I'm worried about (Still need to wait for my case to see). But what do you expect, they gotta squeeze in HDMI wires and the charge wire in that spot.

I just don't like the idea of being physically tethered to the projector when teaching. Now if it at some point it becomes possible to share the screen wirelessly, that would be awesome.

Maybe a future apple tv upgrade or apple tv 3 feature I hope

Yes, squawking angry birds dive bombing on smug fat pigs on my big screen is very fun to watch.

Oh yea, would be good for other educational :D uses too.

You need some hefty bandwidth to transmit an HDMI signal wirelessly.
