Screen Sharing via Internet

I know it's easy to set up screen sharing on Leopard within my own network, but how can I do screen sharing with a person just through the internet? Can iChat do this?

as long as they also have OSX yes ichat is perfect for this.

You could also use VNC for the same purpose. If you turn on Screen Sharing in System Preferences and then port forward port 5900, then you can give your WAN IP to the other person to connect to and see your screen.
