Has anyone run into any issues using the screen sharing feature of OS X between machines running different versions, Lion to Mountain Lion specifically?

I live overseas and enjoy the capability to screen share on my wife's computer back in the states if she ever needs something "fixed". I use a mid-07 macbook running Lion, if she upgrades her '11 MBA to ML, will I have any issues with being able to screen share?

Yes! Just last night I tried to screen share with my dad to fix some iChat problems. His iCloud account will not work but his AIM acct will, so I tried screen sharing with him on that. He is running 10.7 and I have 10.8 and screen sharing would not work between the two machines.

RE: Screen sharing...

Hi,

Just to let you know, I routinely Screen Share/VNC between machines running Mac OS X 10.6.8, 10.7.4, 10.8.2, Ubuntu 12.4, and CentOS, bidirectionally and without issue. I'm pretty sure you should be able to get this to work.

Good luck,
Switon
