Hey there,
I own a stock MacBook Pro with X 10.4 Tiger...looking to get out into the new world.

I have an installation DVD for X10.6 but for a 13" screen-and-all dimension (smaller than my 13" screen alone Pro)

Would I have complications using this install disc?

Wrong forum, but no, there shouldn't be any issues with the screen size.

If the installation DVD is a retail DVD, you shouldn't have any problems. If it came with a specific Mac, there might be driver issues.

You need to buy a Snow Leopard retail disc. The disc that you have looks for the MacBook Pro 7,1 identifier that your 13" MBP has. Since your MBP with 10.4 is obviously not a MBP 7,1, it will not work. Sorry to break it to you...

As long as you have a generic install disk for 10.6 you will be fine.

Screen size does not affect what install disk you should use, but Apple locks down the install disks so they can only be used with the machine they came with, unless you buy a generic disk at the store.
