All iPads Screen size only difference Air v Mini

Played with both this morning. Air just feels like a big mini. Only difference i could tell is screen size.
Reviews coming in down under folk are not that impressed with weight of Air. With smart cover air v 4 200gms difference.
Still getting a Air but i bet the mini will go well.

Wouldn't the weight of the smart covers cancel out? I mean if the 4 has a cover that weighs something too. And it's not a fair comparison if only one has the cover.
