Screen spanning question

Is it at all possible to mirror the dock and menu bar while spanning the desktop? I need the extra desktop space, but it's a little annoying to have to go to the other screen to access the file menu and whatnot, or open another program.

Is this possible?

No, the dock stays on your primary screen. (The one with the menu bar.)

There's a "fix" for the dock. AFAIK, no fix for the menu bar.

You can change the screen that the dock and menubar display on in Sys Prefs -> Displays -> Arrangement. Drag the menubar in that window to the screen of your choosing.
