I've got a couple of issues with my 15" MBP (SR) in that the screen has started developing what i understand to be called 'lcd mura'. Small light spots are appearing on the LCD, wherein extra backlight is being let through.
I took a couple of shots of the screen so you can see the problem. At first i thought i'd just live with it but the circle of white on the second image has been getting progressively worse, so i figured it was wise to get the display replaced while it is still under warranty.
I'm also having trouble with my superdrive. I think it's just dust in the drive but it 7 times out of 10, fails to seek the disk root and ejects. I could probably clean it myself but i figured, since i'm sending in the whole unit for repair, i might as well have the pros take a look.
My question is, how long do you guys expect i'll be without my laptop? Has anyone ever sent in an MBP for screen repair and have an average bench for how long it takes to get repaired?
Thanks.
