How do you get the screen to go dark after x # of minutes of inactivity?
I could have sworn it would go black within a minute or so but my screen is staying on and not shutting down. I reset all settings but that didnt help. I also double tapped the home button then long pressed on the first icon and then closed down all the open programs by clicking the red minus sign but its still doesnt help the screen go blank.

what setting or option do i need to make this work?

thanks

You click the power button to make it go to sleep (ie, "go dark"). There's a setting to change the delay time but I forget what it's under. Maybe "General"?

I looked under general I can find it. thanks for trying to help.

you know i was using it with a smart cover now naked for now...

maybe it never went to sleep on its own? i dont think so but it will not go dark without me putting it to sleep.

When you looked under General, did you see "Auto-Lock"? That's what it's called.
