I've had my phone since the launch day, and I gotta say, it's wonderful.

Lately, though, I have noticed something strange (besides the typical reception issues).

If I'm in an app that has an extensive list or a long page, (ie Contacts, iPod song list, Facebook), I'll try to scroll slowly and the thing zooms right past. It is a much less controlled scroll than I was used to with my 3G.

Anyone else out there with this problem? What could I do to solve it?

If you're on iOS 4.0, then it's a new "feature" and there is no way to change it back to the old way of scrolling.

Oooh! I had no idea.

So what are the benefits? It's rather annoying.

The added benefits are faster scrolling through long webpages and other long scrollable areas.

Ok I get it now.. It could come in handy.

One more question, and maybe it's dumb...

But how to I "activate" it. What I mean is, what do I have to do to make it scroll very fast? (or what shouldn't I do to avoid it?)

I forget what makes is go. There was some threads about it during the 4.0 beta times. Maybe a good search will revel what you want to know.
