OK, this is annoying. Ever since I upgraded to iOS26.0.1, I get iPhone calls RINGING from numbers that are NOT in my contact list. I have set Apps/Phone/Screen Unknown Callers to "Silence", and I still get them. Call Filtering/Unknown Callers and Spam are turned on as well. What am I missing???

Try deleting “recent call” list. For whatever the reason, if a number is on my recent list it would go through. Once I cleared the list, it started working.

Nope. Turning settings on and off and restarting the phone didn't work. I still get ringing calls from numbers not in my contact list. I will try clearing Recents, but the number that just tried to call me was not in my Recents list. When I do a search for that number in my contacts list, nothing comes up.

OK, well, that's interesting. The contactless call I just received on my iPhone was listed in my Google Voice account (which has a different phone number) as being missed. Turns out, in that Google Voice account, i had accidentally set "iOS Device" as one I wanted to answer calls on. That was dumb, because I sure don't. So Google Voice was shunting these calls to my phone, but my phone was not rejecting them for not being in my contact list. Now my Google Voice phone number IS in my contact list. So my phone seems to count that contactless call as one coming from my own Google Voice phone and not one coming from the contactless phone number! But my phone displays that contactless phone number as the one calling me. How very bizarre. I have now shut off that device I said I wanted to answer calls on in Google voice. That is, that contactless phone number was really calling my Google Voice number and not my iPhone. I don't give a crap if I get spam calls on my Google Voice number since I use it for message only.
