Take it back.

Here's the thing, this is my 4th iPad (1st bleeding, 2nd dead pixels, 3rd loose home button, 4th these lines) and the apple store has a record of the replacements I got, I don't know if they would replace for me. When I was there yesterday they said they will no longer swap for stuff they can actually not verify.
I am just concerned this will cause problems down the road, because as long as don't keep pressing the sleep button over and over again, I don't notice it

Don't bother replacing it. Will you actually ever need to repeatedly and quickly turn off and on the screen?

Plus, I believe it's a common 'issue'.

Ok, that's good to know, I'm just worry this could become a bigger problem later
Otherwise, nothing is wrong with it

Does yours have it?

I have not heard of that being common and I seriously doubt it is. If I were you I'd take it to Apple and show them and see what they say. Be really nice about and just say you worry that something is wrong with the hardware and maybe this will result in more problems later.

Ok, when I'm near an apple store I will just ask them, I think they are getting annoyed with all these replacements I am getting, I don't know if they will let me get another one anyways

You shouldn't have gotten a replacement in the first place IMO. Bleeding isn't that big of a deal. I have it really bad but it doesn't effect me that much and I have worst OCD.

I was thinking very similar thoughts. That's the downside of getting replacements for what probably were very trivial things.

Just an update:
Got my advanced replacement in the mail and guess what? Still has the lines, this one has bad bleeding, 3G cover is raised and the aluminum is cut wrong.

This one is going back:mad:

Hmm. I don't see anything from the first two pics. I mean, I think my plastic is raised slightly.

With the light bleed, can you tell anything from normal usage? I imagine you have the brightness all the way up and are in a dark room? Under those conditions I just think you guys are being ridiculous.

The home button does look raised a bit. It's hard for me to tell how much that would bother me without holding it.

Well, good luck with it. Let us know what they say.

That is the normal brightness, and I still have my other (original replacement) iPad 2 and the plastic is flush with the aluminum, and the aluminum is cut smoothly, home button is also good

If you don't mind, can you post a shot of something on you iPad like a web page or video screen shot so we can see what that looks like? It's hard to gauge from the black screen (for me) how it affects viewing.

when you se youtube movies you have black bars on the top and buttom. you will se light bleeding in movies...

Had to pack it up, going to go be sent back tomorrow morning, one thing that i am happy about is the fact that they will not be replacing my iPad with brown boxes anymore, my next replacement will be a white retail box :)
