Screen won't turn off now

All of a sudden my screen won't automatically shut off after a minute like it used to. No setting changes. It will sometimes shut off but rarely. Not sure if its the screen protector of what. Any thoughts? Anyone else notice this?

Try restarting it. Double check to make sure the settings are for it to turn off after a certain amount of time. If all else fails reset and restore the phone

This happened the other day with one of our iPad 2's on iOS 6. A simple hard reset fixed it.

Thanks. I turned it off but no dice. Then I messed with the settings and now it turns off but auto brightness doesn't seem to be working. Stays dim all the time. Have to do hard reset I guess.
