Hey, I'm new to Macs, first of all. I'm trying to find a free way to take quick screenshots of a video. Something where I can set it to take two per second for the whole video, or something?

You could use MPEG Streamclip to export a video as image sequence and delete the images you don't want, which could be tedious.
You could use Timed Screenshot to make screenshots in a set interval.
Or you could use the screenshots feature of Mac OS X.
VLC Player and Movist can also export the current frame as an image, thus you could jump forward a set amount of time, press the appropriate keyboard shortcut and jump forward again ...
