The Macbook Air I use as my deskrop is a 2012 model with like 64gb of menory and for my work I have been asked to do screencasts using imovie but they claim I need like 1080p or 4k or a good video card and my mac is too old because the monitor I have only supports like a 1366xsomething (around 720p resolution). But I have read that only the monitor supports this but when it is connected to an external monitor it can go to like 1080p or beyond. So if I use quicktime to record d esktop will it record it at a crisper and higher res if connected ro an external monitor or what is the deal?
