I use Screenflow (Mac App Store) to make training videos for web-based applications on my Mac, but I need something similar for Windows, to show how the same web apps look and work under Internet Explorer.

Does anybody have a Windows screenrecording/videoediting program to recommend, say less than $150.

Here are the Screenflow features I use:
  • ability to crop the recording to a single window (or equivalently to record only a single window in the first place)
  • export to a choice of formats
  • nice but optional special effects: automatic sounds for mouse clicks, enlarging the cursor, and zooming the area under cursor
Thanks for any recommendations.

Thanks. Their list includes a couple of products I learned about since yesterday and others than I haven't heard of before. I'll look at the sites for each one.

I use Camtasia on my Windows computer at work and in VMware
The Windows version of Camtasia is superior to the Mac version
I found the Camtasia comparison page. While there are a number of Windows-only features, such as adding surveys, there are actually a few Mac-only features too, such as DV camera import and iTunes export.
