Screensaver not working!?

Black Macbook - screensaver was working fine but suddenly it doesn't activate. the screen just stays on until energy saver mode kicks in and the screen goes black (normal)

Even when I have it set as a hot corner, it doesn't turn on. I checked the screensaver and energy saver screen preferences and it all looks normal.

Any advice? Thanks

I'm having the same issue with Leopard installed on a 2.4 ghz MBP with the "Shell" screensaver.

yess i am having the same problem and its getting me aggravated because i leave my screen open while i sleep so my MacBook stays connected to the internet however im worried about the screen getting image burn and such...
please someone explain how to fix this!

Go to the utilities folder and open disk utilily. Choose your hard drive and then click verify and repair permissions. Maybe that could help you solve the problem.

The latest Safari 4 beta has been known to wreak havoc with .qtz files. If it is installed, get rid of it with the uninstaller that's in the .dmg and then check your screensavers.

Yup. It's always good to repair your permissions. Especially after major updates and stuff.
