Hello,

Recently i dont know what has happened to my mac but what ever i do i can't get the screensaver to auto start it will start with hot corners but anything else not a chance.

I have tried repairing the permissions but at a loose end now and dont want the screen burning.

Anyone got any advice.

A couple ideas.

1) Have you installed anything like Caffeine and accidentally left it activated? Caffeine is an app designed to prevent screen savers or sleep so you can, for example, watch long YouTube videos without worrying about having to prevent the screen saver from kicking in.

2) If that's not it, check out the Energy Saver pane of System Preferences, make sure the settings are set up reasonably.

If neither of those works... well that's really all I've got.

I did have caffeine installed but i removed it, that has done nothing.

Changed the energy saving back to defaults.

No luck :(
