I've got a 13" retina Macbook Pro. Sharing screenshot in social and image sharing sites seems problematic to me. All the image resolution are now twice as big. So if I am sharing with Droplr, it shows a big image obviously. I came to know of a screenshot software RetinaCapture, it seems like doing a image scaling. But as we know, image downsizing affects the image.

If I am going to create a video screencast, it also captures the hi res video and the size becomes twice.

Is there a better solution?

I suppose you could use an app like Quickres to set your Macbook pro to a non-retina resolution (like 1280x800) while you record the screencast.

Thats a nice handy app, haven't found it before. Thanks :)
