Screenshot colors

How do I take a screenshot in White on Black? I've seen it on google images... but when I switch back to normal after taking one, the screenshot goes back along with the screen. How is this done?

You can take a screen shot, open it in Preview, then go to Tools > Adjust Color and reduce the saturation to 0.

I believe that will make a "black and white" or "grey" image. To invert the colors you need to find a way to, well, invert the colors. You can do this with photoshop (command+i) or any other photo editing program. There's this website you can use called pixlr.
