Hi everyone, i'm new to the forums even though i've been keeping an eye on macrumors for a while.

Not sure if this is known, but i couldn't find it anywhere, but in the 3g iphone pressing the Home button and Lock/Power button together takes a screenshot of the screen and saves it to photos, kinda sweet.

If it's a known thing, please forgive the noob lol... :)

Lol. It's known, but it's okay.

Apple didn't announce it.

Known since like beta 3...but that was under NDA :p.

It was posted on Macrumors on the iPhone tab when people were submitting SS of the App Store on the phone.

Still good to keep out in the open for those who don't read all of Macrumors.

I also did not know that.

But isn't that the way to RESET the phone as well, by holding both of those down until it resets?

yes to reset you hold them both down for a while. for the screenshot, you hold down the home button and just press and release the sleep/wake button

I'm glad to know this feature held over into the final release of 2.0, I was partly worried that it was just a feature of the dev/beta version of the firmware and would be removed for the final release (since devs needed to be able to make screenshots for the app store)
