I have the MacBook Pro 15 i7 mid 2010 version with anti glare...
My battery lasts not that long, is something wrong with it?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Sorry I don't know how to use crop function...

My brightless level is 4 levels down max and I do not use any heavy applications just word/outlook/ical/etc

Calibrate your battery to make sure your readings are accurate. Read "BATTERY LIFE FROM A CHARGE" in the following link. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

Double-click to open the image in Preview, then select the crop tool from the toolbar.
ScreenCap 3.png
Draw a rectangle around the area you want and click the crop icon again. Save your changes. Also, you can upload pics directly using the

button when composing a post. No need to use ImageShack.

In the future, you can use Command-Shift-4 to do a selective screen capture of just the area you need.

Oh ok thanks a lot :)

You're using iStat Menus, right?

Uninstall that and see how your battery life is.

I noticed when I had iStat installed, my battery life was cut nearly in half. I just uninstalled it.

You cut out the most important parts - running apps. No way to tell what might be killing the battery.

Bluetooth is on - that's one.

Just wondering why you removed your dock?

Are you running some kind of FBI apps that you don't want us to know?

The time is calculated based on usage and since you have youtube open (and flash is power hungry) could be the reason that time is displayed

you want to see your max battery life.
Close CMD+Q every application running and open on pdf. wait a few minutes and depending on screen brightness your battery life will be between 6-10h.
From there you can start applications and see how that changes. Skype usually just takes quite a lot of battery life from just sitting there.
Everything that needs a few CPU cycle obviously changes a lot.

thanks for helping me out with the battery! i turn bluetooth off :)

and yes I am america's FBI agent
