Screenshots and then?

Hi Mac Pro's,
I have found and read the excellent Mac OS X Screenshot page, but what do I do when I shot a screen with the keyboard shortcuts. Where is my image? I can't find it in the clipboard, so where does it go?

If it's on the clipboard, just paste it wherever you want it. If you want just a picture file, use the keyboard shortcuts that create one, and it should appear on your desktop.
